Daily Essential Balm

This journey started when my wife became pregnant. 

A lifelong lover of high-end skincare, she realized many products—even the expensive ones—contained ingredients we chose to avoid. She stopped using everything, but still needed care.

Searching for “natural” was another shock: plenty of so-called clean products weren’t truly clean, and the ones that were often felt like grandma’s foot cream.

With my science background, we decided to create our own. We wrote two lists: what skin actually needs, and what we refuse to compromise on. Bioavailable lipids and vitamins. Essential fatty acids. Time-tested botanicals. And it had to feel like a treat—luxurious, nourishing, something you look forward to using.

We iterated through hundreds of versions until the formulas married real skin benefits with a spa-worthy experience. By the time our son was born, the balms were part of our routine—keeping his skin soft, helping the look of little scrapes, and taking the sting out of minor kitchen mishaps. 

We saw the difference, and we knew this was bigger than us.

If we could make products that were truly clean, effective, and enjoyable to use, we could help others on the same path. 

That’s how Fat & Bloom was born.
